Concerto grosso is a three-movement work orchestra with a group of featured instruments/players as opposed to concerto (solo concerto).
This form of baroque music  consists of small group of soloists (the concertino) and full orchestra. The solo concerto on the other hand includes a single solo instrument with the melody line and an orchestra.
