Two ways in which women's options were limited in the early 19th century were by;
Job opportunities - Job options were limited to women as business owners would not have employed women to work in their establishments.
Opportunity to purchase land - During the 19th century women were not able to purchase land separately. They were only permitted to do so unless they were married and purchasing it with their husbands.
