First you would find what 10% of 6000 is, so:

[tex]0.10 \times 6000 = 600[/tex]

10% would turn into 0.10 because when converting percents to decimals you have to move the decimal place 2 spaces over.
10% or 6000 = 600. so 6000+ 600 = 6600
