Imagine it like a^2+b^2=c^2... (0,0) is one corner and (-6,8) is the second. That being said it’s 6 tall (negatives don’t matter in this instance) and 8 wide. 8^2+6^2=100... square root of 100 is 10

TL;DR 8^2+6^2=100 square root of 100=10
