The answer is option a. TRUE. Nouns cannot be paired with verb phrases to create a parallel structure. In order to create a parallel structure, one should decide what grammatical form the writer should use. If you started your sentence using nouns, then use nouns all throughout. If you started your sentence with the present tense of the verb, then use present tense all throughout the verbs in your content.
