y = 8x + 19   -  

replacing "y"

-2x – 1 = 8x + 19

-2x - 8x = 19 + 1

-10x = 20

x = 20/-10

x= -2

y=-2x – 1

y= -2.(-2) - 1

y= 4 - 1

y = 3
