It’s imagery they’re trying to explain to you how someone’s eyes are as blue as the sky because you’re trying to picture it so it’s imagery

i’m not very sure how to answer this other than saying that the author is comparing the eyes to a clear blue sunny sky. you could also say the author is also using this simile to emphasize how blue her eyes really are.
