I believe you would do 10/3x+1=22/7x-1 and cross multiply meaning multiply 10 by 7x-1 and 22 by 3x+1 and since you can’t really do this you need to make them into an equation. 10(7x-1)=22(3x+1) and distribute leaving you with 70x-10=66x+22 so you minus 66 from both sides leaving you with 4x-10=22 so you add 10 on both sides making it 4x=32 so you divide both sides by 4 leaving you with the answer X=8.
