The Battle of Midway was a major naval battle in the Pacific Theater of World War II that took place on 4–7 June 1942. The Manhattan Project was a research and development undertaking during World War II that produced the first nuclear weapons. It was led by the United States with the support of the United Kingdom (which initiated the original Tube Alloys project) and Canada.
