so is 6/12 =8/10
we see if we can make them the same
first we simplify
6/12=(2 times 3)/(2 times 2 times 3)=1/2 times 6/6
6/12=1/2
8/10=4/5
is 1/2=4/5
1/2=5/10
4/5=8/10
5/10≠8/10
they are not proportinal
