so

LM = LK + KM

or, 58 = 6x+10+2x+8

or, 58 = 8x + 18

or, 58-18 = 8x

or, 8x = 40

so, x = 5

now

LK = 6x + 10

     = 6*5+10

     = 30 +10

     = 40
