First, you find slope (y1-y2 over x1-x2) in this case that would be (0-4)/(-4-2) which equals -4/-6 simplify that to 2/3, you have your slope which always goes before your x. To find your y-intercept you find where X=0 and what the y value is, is your y-int. In this case it’s given to you, (0,-4). Write it out and you get Y=2/3x-4
