there are 6 dimes and a total of 36 coins in all so the part to whole ratio is 6:36 or 1:6

Total coins = 12 + 6 + 18 = 36

dimes = 6

All = 36

Part-to-whole ratio of dimes to all = 6 : 36 = 1:6
