Work Shown:

s0 = 16 = initial term

s1 = 16*(1/2) = 8 = second term

s2 = 8*(1/2) = 4 = third term

s3 = 4*(1/2) = 2 = final answer

Each time we need a new term, we multiply by 1/2 which is the same as dividing by 2.
