Answer:

There are 4 possible nucleotides that occur in two complementary sets. If 24% of the DNA is cytosin, the equal share has to be the complementary guanin. That makes 48% GC that leaves 52% AT, thus 26% are adenine and 26% thymine.

This calculation of course wouldn’t work if you were to look at only one DNA strand, where you’d end up with a vastly underdetermined mathematical system.
