i would say that it effects the development by being the ground layer.In order to get a scientific idea u need evidence from somewhere like history, it usually goes with biology because it teaches about the earth and so on. It gives ideas based on the prehistoric event that occurred.
Scientific ideas build on the science ideas from the past.. I just did this unit in school so come to me for any help. If you need a more in depth answer you can look it up. There are plenty!
