Explanation:

haemoglobin transports the oxygen and carbon dioxide throughout the human body but it 'loves' oxygen more than carbon dioxide. Our cells will use oxygen and produce carbon dioxide so there is no (or very little) oxygen left so it will take carbon dioxide with it. The opposite happens in our lungs.
