25% of y can be calculated as:
25 * y / 100
If we know the value is 30, then:
25 * y / 100 = 30
Dividing by 25:
y / 100 = 30 / 25
Multiplying by 60:
60 * y / 100 = 60 * 30 / 25
On the left side of the equation is 60% of y, now calculating the right side:
60% of y = 72
Answer: 60% of y is 72
Note we didn't need to find the value of y, just the required percentage
