The closed triangle method is used to determine if the forces acting on a body are on equilibrium, that is, the net force is zero.
To use this method, we add each force vector, starting one vector where the previous vector ends.
If the last vector ends where the first vector started, then the triangle of vectors is closed, and the sum of all forces will be zero:
