3(3x - 5) + 3x + 3 = 20​

Solve for x:

Use distributive property on the left hand side:

9x - 15 + 3x + 3 = 20

Add like terms:

12x - 12 = 20

Add 12 to both sides:

12x - 12 + 12 = 20 + 12

12x = 32

Divide both sides by 12:

12x/12 = 32/12

x = 8/3 = 2.67
