We need to find two points on the line, these points have the form

[tex]\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1), \\ (x_2,y_2). \end{gathered}[/tex]

We replace these two points in the formula

[tex]m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1},[/tex]

In this case, we can choose the points (0,1) and (1,2). Then we have

[tex]\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(0,1) \\ (x_2,y_2)=(1,2) \\ x_1=0,y_1=1 \\ x_2=1,y_2=2 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Replacing these points in the formula we obtain

[tex]m=\frac{2-1}{1-0}=1^{}[/tex]

Then, the slope is m=1.
