[tex]\sqrt[]{72}[/tex]

Remember that

[tex]72=2^3\cdot3^2[/tex]

substitute

[tex]\sqrt[]{2^3\cdot3^2}=2\cdot3\sqrt[]{2}=6\sqrt[]{2}[/tex]

therefore

a=6

b=2
