First you subtract 3 from both sides, so:
6x+3=18
-3. -3
6x=15
Then divide both sides by 6:
x=2.5
Hope this helps!

6*x+3-(18)=0
6x - 15  =   3 • (2x - 5)
Solve  :    2x-5 = 0 Solve :    3   =  0
dd  5  to both sides of the equation :

                     2x = 5
Divide both sides of the equation by 2:
                     x = 5/2 = 2.500
hope that helps!!!
