Each foot is made up of 30 joints. Each toe has 3 joints. metatarsophalangeal joint is the joint of the base of the foot. Proximal joint is in the middle of the toe. distal phalangeal joint is closet to tip of toe. Each big toe has two joints the metatarsophalangeal joint and interphalangeal joint
