simply multiply twelve by three, giving you 36 grams in a full piece of candy, and then divide it by four, nine, and multiple nine by three: twenty seven (27). This is a somewhat roundabout way of doing it but this will work every time you do this kind of problem. (plus its the only way i know how to do it.)
