In a way that is correct. The central nervous system is made up of the brain and spinal cord. The peripheral is made up of nerve fibers that goes off from the spinal cored, and extends to all parts of the body.

For example: The neck, torso, arms and legs, 
skeletal muscles and the internal organs.
