Simplify.
[tex]y=2[/tex]
Now we can use the value of y to solve the other equation.
[tex]x=4y[/tex]
Is also equal to...
[tex]x=4(2)[/tex]
Solve for x.
Combine like terms.
[tex]x=8[/tex]
The answer would be 8,2
