the first one has a lower unit price because 1 bag is 3 dollars and the other one is 1 bag is 5 dollars
the 5 for $10.  If you have only $10 and you could choose either to buy the five bags for 10 or the $3 a bag which would you buy.     At $3, you can only get 3 bags. but with the 5 for 10, you're paying only $2 a bag.
