you should put 2 as x, -2 as y and b as the y intercept

3x+y=4
[tex]3 \times 2 - 2 = b \\ 4 = b [/tex]
the first one is true

x-3y=-4
[tex]2 - 3 \times ( - 2 )= b \\ 2 - (- 6) = b \\ 8 = b[/tex]
the second one is wrong
