I am not sure how to fully answer your question but, i think the reason why both men and women are victims of violence is because, neither of the guy or girl want to get into more trouble as to say if its a relationship problem, the girl is the one being abused the girl would be scared to get there loved one into trouble or it might be because the boyfriend will injure her more or might kill her.
