Just be there for her. Don't tell her that's its okay but that your there for support. 
well, first of all you call them (no texting or snaping, its less comforting than hearing someone's voice or in person) and you tell them that you are sorry for their loss. you ask them if there is anything you can do to help them and listen to his/her venting or sobbing.
be the shoulder he/she cries on. it'll help.
