Flowering plants or Angiosperms
have seeds that are enclosed within an ovary (usually a fruit), while Gymnosperms
have no flowers or fruits, and have “naked” seeds.
Both classes:

Have differentiation
of the sporophyte (root, stem, and
leaves),
· Produce pollen for
fertilization,
· Seeds bearing plants
(belong to the class known as Spermatophyta),
· The vascular system,
· Reduced gametophytic phase.
